Cozumel

Adios, Mas Isla Bonita!!!! Excuse my Spanish everyone, it may not be correct!!! We have had a fabulous time here. Wilma, however, has not been kind. They are 50% back to what the island was before Wilma. Arrived at the airport and got husseled for the time share Mayan Palace. Agreed to go with offers of scuba $50, 24 hrs car rental for $20, Janeen's snorkle for $15 and the round trip ferry ride. We were to go separately so they could collect commission on both of us. I went first and then went to Playa del Carmen for a beer. Sitting there watching people and drinking my cerveza when another "salesman" tries to hook me, I say "I can't do that again, I just finished one". He continues to try and coax me and I say to him "Money talks, Bullshit walks!" and he agrees to split his commission with me if I go for a 90 minute presentation. Well, GREED sets in and I go but not before collecting 700 pesos or $70 cash from him. Met Rebecca and her friends on the plane ride down and she invited us for a wonderful tilapia dinner at their gorgeous condo right on the Sea. She also has given us info on Egypt and a guide to contact when we are there. Eileen, Jennifer, Nancy, Deborah, Alex and Rebecca a very special thank you to you. Socrates gave me my refresher course on scuba from the shore and how appropriately was my teacher's name. The Tamarindo where Eliane and Jorge are most gracious and the breakfast every morning a true delight of fresh fruit sprinkled w/coconut, fresh orange juice, fabulous coffee and an entree different every morning. The court yard where we ate our breakfast every morning beneath the tamarindo tree was wonderful as well as the hammock I read on every morning strung to the tamarindo tree, thank you as well. Thank you to Eliane for arranging our wonderful lobster dinner in the courtyard for a total of $12 each. To Kara, the Check Republic girl me met at Playa Corona snorkling, hope to meet you in Prague and we will certainly search out the "star castle". I met an Indian woman on the plane from Tampa to Dallas who has given me info on India too. Every where we go there are wonderful people with helpful information. Today we go to Playa del Carmen, catch the bus to Puerto Morellos and stay for a few days to kind of wind down. Janeen fell in the room the first morning and hit her back, twisted her ankle and split open her elbow. Thank God she did not hit her head and we have not had to go to the Medic. She is doing fine but we intend to slow down for a few days. Then we will go to Isla Mujeres for a few days, then head down south to Belize and Tikal. See ya with the next journal.

    Hello Carolyn & Janeen!

I tried to set you up as my buddy on this screen, but it didn't work. Anyway, I have signed in as PamelaPMK as my password (case sensitive). They say my user name is pamelapmk (all lower case).

It sounds like you are having a great time so far except for Janeen's fall. Hope she is feeling better. I would be reluctant to seek medical attention outside of the states, but it may be necessary at some pointl

We have bad news. It seems impossible, but Ed's office staffing problems are back big time. The latest person we hired, who was doing great is leaving because her husband is signing up for the Navy. Also, Randy who has worked for us for over a year has resigned to go back to the previous job he had with AFLAC. Truthfully, he has not lived up to expectations for Ed and keeping him was not likely anyway. It is just that we would not choose to have the office staffing short 2 persons at one time.

This means we can't leave here this winter with the office that short of staffing.

    Keep us posted.

    Love, Pam

Pam, Just discovered how to comment on your comment. SLOW, I guess. Having a wonderful time. Hope you can meet us some place in the future. Would love to have you do that. Will write you to have you look at this again, but maybe it goes to your email direct. Have no idea and am learning every day what this sight can do. AMAZING isn“t it. [HEART][ROLLEYES]
