We debark the ferry at the Krabi ferry terminal.  Janeen gets knocked down by some guy who slips on the wet marble floor of the station.  She's luckily OK.  I go inside a room at the station to inquire about a room and book one for the night at the Boifern Hotel.  The room is 300b ($4 each) with fan only.  The temperature is cooler now because of the cloudiness from the showers.  We book our ferry ride and minibus to Langkawi, Malaysia, tomorrow here at the ferry station.  The hotel driver picks us up and we arrive on the same street as the hotel in The Lonely Planet I had tried to get a room in and that was full.  The room is nice but downstairs and a little damp.  They request that you remove your shoes at the entrance of the hotel.  The floor is quite nice with a huge starfish decorated into the terrazzo.  We get settled a bit in the room and I suggest we go out to the beach.  Janeen says OK so we get a taxi out to Ao Nag.  It is a huge beach with many small shells giving it a pick hue.  The waves are small but it is chilly so I don't swim.  Walk the beach gathering shells and taking pics.  There are smells of wonderful grilled seafood all along the beach as well as many shops.  The driver picks us up at 7 p.m. and we head back into Krabi town.  Funny we pay as much one way to get to the beach as our room is for the night!  There is a festival of some kind going on in the street and we look a bit at all the stalls of food and stuff.  Thai girls in beautiful native costume doing a cultural dance that I photograph.  Find a place to have dinner where our street dead-ends into the river.  I get 6 prawns that are very good, a coke and the waitress brings a small salad that I share with Janeen.  back to the room to read and fall asleep. Awake at 5:15 a.m. to pee.  Back to sleep and awaken by the innkeeper at 6:15 a.m.  Upstairs with our belongings and I go hunting for coffee and some food on the sleepy streets of Krabi.  Nothing is open.   Back to the hotel for our pickup by minibus to the ferry......next......Langkawi, Malaysia.......
